The design of the canvas allows the paint flow to the sides giving a different visual effect. This technique has been used multiple times throughout the years to help me discover the artist in me. The life of a flower is unique and sometimes it takes a few blooms to realize the true beauty. I had to let the petals fall in the right places on the canvas while still allowing some natural flow.
I used acrylic paint and acrylic ink mixed with water and Floetrol to thin it. This design was completed in about 2 days.
The texture of this one is the main focus, as it represents the past petals that have fallen in order for today's flowers to bloom.

This rustic flower represents the rain showers of autumn. During this time of year sometimes the rain is obscured by the many colors of fall, but the sound of the rain still offers the calmness we need to prepare for winter. It lets us know that life is getting ready for the next steps of rejuvenation.
It gives me comfort knowing that the moon lights my way at night, ensuring that I see my steps. This painting captures all the energy the moon provides.
